Onboard to your dream job. Your task is simple to sort boxes using a simple three-button mechanic; day after day, you will improve your sorting skills, which will open new opportunities along the way.

Unboxing takes place in a world built entirely of paper, at the recycling plant that serves as its beating heart. What starts as a routine task — sorting boxes on the conveyor belt — gradually reveals itself as complicity in something far larger. The game asks what it means to look away, and what it costs, morally, to stay focused on the small and the personal while the bigger picture keeps turning. 

It’s inspired by real events from my time in military service.

All the illustrations are digital, inspired by handmade textures and materials. The world is built from mixed media with real handmade materiality: cut paper, hand-drawn illustration, and collage, scanned and blended with digital art.
